Student documentary about children's heart conditions
Help raise awareness of heart conditions and encourage others to do the same, particularly during heart month.
Ellie has asked us to share this message:
“
I’m a university student and I’m making a documentary about congenital heart disease for my final project.
I’m looking to speak to a family whose child had open heart surgery at a young age, and is now happy and healthy. Maybe you’re celebrating your child’s birthday, or another milestone.
I will be wanting to film a chat with you about your child’s CHD journey, as well as some shots of your child doing “normal” kid things – running around the garden, etc.
I’ve previously made a documentary about CHD and Glenfield hospital and I’m experienced at working with families and talking about such a sensitive topic. I also had open heart surgery (when I was 10 years old) so I fully understand what it’s like!
