PERSHORE’s MP Harriett Baldwin has pledged her full support to a new campaign helping parents to spot early signs of heart problems for children.

The MP recently met with staff and representatives from the Children’s Heart Federation which aims to increase early diagnosis of heart conditions for children.

And the charity has launched its new Think Heart campaign to help parents learn more about discovering signs of potential heart trouble in youngsters.

Ms Baldwin said: “Heart conditions remain undiagnosed in far too many children and early diagnosis will often save children’s lives.

“I am delighted to support the campaign which is doing important work to raise awareness and show parents what they should be looking out for to spot problems early.”

Anne Keatley-Clarke, director of Children’s Heart Federation, added: “It’s great to receive the support of MP Harriett Baldwin for our campaign. We are aiming to spread the word about the Think Heart campaign as far and as wide as possible.”
