CHF campaign for CHD & pulse oximetry testing
CHF’s Chief Executive, Anne Keatley-Clarke is calling for ‘… all babies to be tested for heart conditions at birth to help save lives. CHF is also calling for the introduction of pulse oximetry testing on all newborn babies’.
CHF is campaigning for the introduction of pulse oximetry screening for all newborn babies in the UK.
The test measures the oxygen saturation levels in the blood.
Evidence shows that this test is an effective one and CHF would like to see it rolled out nationally.
