CHF has been campaigning for the introduction of Pulse Oximetry screening for all newborn babies in the UK since 2015. The test – measuring the oxygen levels in the blood – is proven to be effective  in detecting three quarters of congenital heart conditions.

We’re leading this campaign and pushing for its inclusion in the national screening programme of all newborns.

Write to your MP and ask him or her to check whether Pulse oximetry testing is carried out at their local NHS Trust.
