Tackling Cardiovascular Disease: Priorities for the Outcomes Strategy - Report

The Children’s Heart Federation has contributed to the new ‘Tackling Cardiovascular Disease: Priorities for the Outcomes Strategy’ report from Cardiovascular Coalition and 4 All Party Parliamentary Groups.

CHF’s contribution to the report stressed the importance of considering congenital and acquired heard conditions in children in any strategy dealing with cardiovascular conditions. It also stressed the importance of awareness and early diagnosis, the need for clear pathways of care and high quality services and the need to empower patients to self-manage their conditions.

The report it is hoped will inform the Government’s upcoming new Cardiovascular Disease Outcome Strategy due in winder 2012 – early 2013.
