Basingstoke business Martinez and Partners are this year supporting the Children’s Heart Federation, the top children’s heart charity.

Rachel Evans, who works for the insurance brokers and has a heart condition, is passionate about supporting CHF’s work together with her colleagues.

Rachel said: “The Children’s Heart Federation do great work supporting children who are unwell due to a heart condition and also their wider families.

“I really know the value of their work having been born with a heart condition myself. This is why we’re doing everything we can to support their work.’’

As well as raising money for CHF, Martinez and Partners also sent a team to take part in CHF’s charity dragon boat race by the Thames to celebrate 2012’s Children’s Heart Week.

Hundreds of parents and children came together to raise funds for children with congenital heart disease, as well as to celebrate this year’s Children’s Heart Week.

Sam Johnson from CHF who helped arrange the day, said: “Everyone at CHF is always delighted to help organise events like this and we can’t stress enough how grateful we are for the support from Martinez and Partners.’’
