Dragon Boat Challenge

Due to the Fantastic Success of our 2012 event, we are holding a Special 25^th Birthday Dragon Boat Race on Sunday 19^th May 2013!

2013 is a big year for CHF and we would love you to be a part of it. so join us in this spectacular sport, racing to the beat of the drums whilst raising awareness and vital funds for children with heart conditions and their families.

Ask your family, colleagues and friends to join you at the Dragon Boat Challenge!To be a rower you need to be at least 12 years old, or 8 if you want to be the drummer (at the front of the boat).

There will be prizes for: the Best Fancy Dress, Highest Fundraising Individual and Team Fundraisers and for the Most Inspired Fundraising Idea!

There’ll also be Cultural Performances, puppet shows, food and refreshments and children’s entertainment! So make sure you bring everyone with you for a brilliant day by the River at London’s Surrey Docks!

If you’re not crewing one of the boats and you want to attend this event pop down to Surrey Docks Watersports Centre from 10:30 to 16:30 on Sunday 19th May.

How to Take Part

Teams are made up of 13 people; 12 to paddle the oars and 1 to beat the drum to keep you in time and get you to the finish line!

There are three registration options and everyone who registers will get:

• Your name in the event Programme
• Certificate
• Medal
• Professional Photograph for you to keep (downloaded from the CHF website)
• Official race timings

Gather a Team of 13 people; the 13^th goes free!

1. Full Team

Registration Price: £540 (£45 per person)

+Fundraising Target: £650 (£50 per person)

 

2. Individual / Part Team

Enter as an individual or with a few friends and we will put you into a Team to compete.

Registration Price: £50 per person

+Fundraising Target: £50 per person

 

3. Branded Boat (Team only)

Enter a Team for your workplace or club and in addition to the above, you will also receive:

• Lunch and refreshment
• Professional Team Photograph for you to keep
• Photograph feature on CHF website, in the CHF newsletter
• Acknowledgement on the CHF Facebook and twitter pages
• Acknowledgement in Commentary
• Company name and logo on the side of your Dragon Boat
• Display of your company banners at the venue
• Official meet and greet with one of our families and professional photograph
• Press release
• CHF t-shirt/vest and cap
• Section on the CHF website as to why your company is taking part

 

Registration Price: £1200

+Fundraising Target: £50 per head or £650 as a Team
