Over 5000 paediatric cardiac surgery procedures are performed in the UK each year and early survival has improved to over 98% however there is concern that parents are not adequately informed about possible outcomes.

This research project being carried out at Great Ormond Street Hospital with input from CHF, looks at the information given to parents about possible complications or morbidities after surgery.
