CHF500 Dunlop 24hr

Pinky-The-PorscheRevving up to Raise Awareness and Money

Welcome to Team CHF500 our brand new fundraising venture in the supercharged world of motorsport!

Following the generous ‘donation’ of a complete endurance race team, we ran a Porsche 968 in the Dunlop 24hr, at the world-famous Silverstone Race Track.

This is a charity team, all proceeds and sponsorship went to the Children’s Heart Federation. The team aimed to raise £24,000.  That’s £1,000 for every hour of the race.

Over the weekend of 24th to 26th April Team CHF500 raced against the cream of UK and international endurance racers in the style of the Le Mans 24h race.

We had four drivers racing that all had a connection to the car. Paul Follett and Jonathan Evans, both previous owners of the car and have raced in the Porsche Club Championship, Jonathan is also a trustee of the charity.  Alex Eacock of EMC Motorsport, who originally built the car and the fourth driver, Ben Demetriou, who trained Paul and Jonathan, is a previous Porsche Club Champion in a Porsche 968.

Team CHF500 eventually finished in 12th place of a starting line up of 29, and 4th in our class.
