Adam came to us, letting us know about his London Marathon challenge. After months of training, Adam was unfortunate enough to pick up an injury just before the event. However, he didn’t let this stop him, and decided to go on regardless. Rising to the challenge, Adam chose to walk the marathon instead of running as he’d hoped, making the best of a bad situation.
Adam used the opportunity not only to explore London in a very unique way, but also to collect money for the Children’s Heart Federation along the route. This made for a very exciting tour of the capital, with great encouragement and enthusiasm from the crowds, some of whom even offered him a kiss in exchange for a donation! Adam really enjoyed the experience, and the generosity of the crowds enabled him to collect over £300 to help our heart families. Not bad for a 6 hour walk!
Thank you to Adam for supporting the leading children’s heart charity, and also to Elaine who lovingly went along to support him on the day, meeting him on route to lighten his load!
